A poll released Thursday demonstrates overwhelming support in Arizona for immigration-reform legislation that is being debated in the U.S. Senate. Released by the Alliance for Citizenship, Partnership for a New American Economy and Republicans for Immigration Reform, the poll shows that 65 percent of Arizona voters to some degree support the legislation drafted by Arizona Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake and others in the “Gang of Eight.” Further, more than 89 percent of Arizona voters believe there needs to be action on immigration reform this year.
